Before Hawkish tries to become the first horse to win a $1-million bonus for sweeping the Kindergarten, Ed Burke Memorial and Los Alamitos Million, the 2-year-old has some other business.

Mainly, qualifying for the Los Alamitos Million, which will be run two weeks from tonight.

The country's top juvenile and a winner of five consecutive races after finishing second in his first two starts, Hawkish is one of 79 horses who will be trying to qualify for the Million in 10 trials tonight. The 10 fastest qualifiers will move on to the final.

Four! Shyann Cash, Corona Too and Call Me Corona in the first, Babe On The Fly and Well I Never in the second, Hawkish in the third and Chicks Super Calider, Righteous Brother, Real Quik Dasher and A Delightful Legacy in the fourth.

Shot in the dark: Sold Out Show could improve in his second Los Al start in the fifth. Aztex Connection steps up in class in the sixth after being claimed by Adan Farias.
