The top five teams have yet to lose. Peninsula continued to impress in recent victories over Corona del Mar, Irvine University and Redondo. Losses to Peninsula and Laguna Beach drop Corona del Mar in the rankings, but the Sea Kings are young and have played a tough schedule. Dana Point Dana Hills posted victories over Lake Forest El Toro and depleted Palm Desert, a former top 10 team. Mater Dei gambled with its perfect record against two teams in Las Vegas over the weekend and won. Santa Barbara moves up after victories over Ventura and North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake.

The Aztecs finished three shots ahead of Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula, but Peninsula split its top players between two teams. Peninsula's best four scores were a stroke better than Keppel's. Three days later at the Burbank Burroughs tournament, Peninsula's "B" team shot better than its "A" team. Long Beach Wilson drops out after a 214-229 loss to Cerritos. It was Wilson's first regular-season loss in 53 matches.
