Peter Bacanovic, the former Merrill Lynch & Co. broker indicted along with Martha Stewart for obstructing a federal investigation into insider trading, wants a separate trial, according to court records.
The request was filed Monday, the same day lawyers for Stewart, the former chief executive of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., filed a 122-page motion seeking to dismiss most of the charges against her.
