A post-sweep interim 'Fire'

QUICK TAKES

October 23, 2003|From a Times staff writer

Rather than shift into reruns, as is normally done when the November ratings sweeps are over, ABC said Wednesday it plans to replace "NYPD Blue" in December and January with a new crime drama called "Line of Fire." "NYPD Blue" will return to the 10 p.m. Tuesday slot with new episodes in February.

"Line of Fire," from writer-producer Rod Lurie, is about the battle between FBI agents and an organized crime family. The cast includes David Paymer, Leslie Bibb and Anson Mount.
