Rebels Kill 25 in Bus Ambush, Army Says

Rebels ambushed a bus in eastern Uganda, killing 25 passengers and abducting 60 others, the army said.

Rebels from the Lord's Resistance Army reportedly attacked the bus Monday near Lira, 135 miles north of the capital, Kampala. The rebels have abducted thousands of children to use as soldiers and sex slaves and are feared for maiming civilians.
