THE RECALL CAMPAIGN

Recall Q&a

September 27, 2003

Should I write in the name of the person I'm voting for on my absentee ballot?

*

No. If you are voting for a candidate whose name is printed on the regular ballot, you should mark the circle next to his or her name. Do not write the person's name in the space left for write-in candidates at the bottom of the ballot. An absentee ballot that has both a name written at the bottom and a punch hole or an ink mark next to one candidate's name might not be tallied by the ballot-counting machine.
