The Fourth of July means parades, speeches, music, picnics, hot dogs and, of course, fireworks. For those who like their gunpowder combined with monster trucks and motorcycles, there's the Kaboom show at the Pomona Fairplex. Music lovers can see bombs bursting in air accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra or by the Pacific Symphony at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine. The interleague game between the Dodgers and the Angels at Angel Stadium will be followed by some rockets' red glare. And there's more:

Fireworks listings -- A roundup of Southland fireworks displays in Thursday's Calendar Weekend section said the holiday show at Chino High School in San Bernardino County would take place Sunday. The event is to be held on Saturday.

Burbank: Burbank's annual Starlight Bowl Fourth of July show features the Bill Elliot Swing Orchestra, the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West and fireworks.
