Marquis Profit's victories in the 110-meter high hurdles and 300 intermediate hurdles in the Pasadena Games at Pasadena City College on Saturday helped Pasadena Muir move up two spots in the rankings. Los Angeles Loyola drops two positions this week and could fall further if distance runner Mark Matusak's foot injury keeps him sidelined for an extended period of time.

Long Beach Wilson won 10 of 17 events Saturday in the Pasadena Games at Pasadena City College, but defending state champion Long Beach Poly remains No. 1 in the rankings. Anna Farias-Eisner and Lindsay Flacks combined to win the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters in the Surf City Invitational at Huntington Beach High on Saturday to help North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake move up two spots.

Irvine University, which finished sixth in the recent Southern Section Relays and has victories over Huntington Beach Edison and Irvine Northwood, moves into the rankings, replacing Lake Forest El Toro, which falls out after two losses. Goleta Dos Pueblos routed Ventura, and Mission Viejo posted impressive victories over El Toro and Santa Margarita.

San Clemente defeated Los Angeles Loyola, 27-25, in a semifinal, then beat Westlake Village Westlake, 25-21, to win the Goleta Dos Pueblos tournament on Saturday. Single-match scores do not count in overall records. Injury-plagued Newport Harbor recorded the biggest upset of the season with a four-game victory over Manhattan Beach Mira Costa. Santa Margarita extended Loyola to four games in a nonleague loss.

Corona del Mar won the National High School All-American tournament for the third consecutive time. Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula lost three tournament matches over the weekend and falls out of the rankings. Calabasas enters on the strength of its third-place finish. Redondo went 2-2, including a 5-4 loss to Irvine Woodbridge in the consolation championship.

Cerritos defeated three top-10 teams -- Cerritos Gahr, La Mirada and Manhattan Beach Mira Costa -- and shot 173 in a victory over Brea Olinda last week. Newhall Hart took third at the Jesuit Masters tournament in Sacramento after posting a course-record 360 at Robinson Ranch on March 22. La Canada moves into the rankings after shooting 180 against Monrovia last Tuesday.
