If the world didn't have manners, it would be bad. At mealtime, people would put their feet on the table and maybe even have food fights. People wouldn't say, "Please," "thank you" or anything like that. I think manners are very important for our world.

Manners show what kind of person you are. If you have good manners, people will think you are reliable and responsible. If you have bad manners, they'll think you are a poor, dirty slob and a disgusting person. They won't like to hang around you or be your friend. I don't have good manners but I'm trying to improve them.

Whenever I burp, I say, "Excuse me." Whenever I would like for somebody to open the door for me, I say, "Please" and then "thank you." Being polite is very important because it makes you look good. What people think of you depends upon it.
