The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Nathan R. Anderson, 22, of Howard, Ohio; corporal, Marine Corps. Anderson died Friday in enemy action in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Steven E. Auchman, 37, of Waterloo, N.Y.; master sergeant, Air Force. Auchman was killed Tuesday when rocket-propelled grenades struck his location in Mosul. He was assigned to the 5th Air Support Operations Squadron at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Travis A. Babbitt, 24, of Uvalde, Texas; specialist, Army. Babbitt died Tuesday when his patrol unit was attacked with a rocket-propelled grenade and small-arms fire in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Brian K. Baker, 27, of West Seneca, N.Y.; specialist, Army. Baker died Nov. 7 when a car bomb exploded near his security patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

James P. Blecksmith, 24, of San Marino; second lieutenant, Marine Corps. Blecksmith died Thursday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Theodore A. Bowling, 25, of Casselberry, Fla.; corporal, Marine Corps. Bowling was killed Thursday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Kyle W. Burns, 20, of Laramie, Wyo.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Burns died Thursday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Carlos M. Camacho-Rivera, 24, of Carolina, Puerto Rico; sergeant, Army. Camacho-Rivera died Nov. 5 in the 31st Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad of wounds suffered that day in a rocket blast in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 368th Transportation Company, 11th Transportation Battalion at Ft. Story, Va.

David M. Caruso, 25, of Naperville, Ill.; sergeant, Marine Corps. Caruso was one of two Marines from Camp Lejeune, N.C., who were killed Tuesday in enemy action in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.
