Rebel Gets 26 Years for Grenade Attacks on Bars

A Colombian rebel was sentenced to 26 years in prison after pleading guilty to tossing hand grenades into two crowded bars in attacks last year that U.S. authorities say aimed to kill Americans, a court official in Bogota said.

Arturo Montano, 26, was convicted of terrorism for the Nov. 15 attacks on two pubs in Bogota's Zona Rosa, or "Pink Zone," nightclub area, the court official said.
