Everett M. Rogers, 73, an author and former associate dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication, died Oct. 21 in New Mexico, where he lived and had been chairman of the communication and journalism department at the University of New Mexico. He died in his home after having kidney cancer.
Rogers' book, "Diffusion of Innovations," was selected by Inc. magazine in 1996 as one of the 10 classic books on business. First published in 1962 and now in its fifth edition, the book offers an explanation of how new ideas are incorporated into a culture.
