Green Keeps the Faith, and so Do Readers

Part of being Jewish is accepting that Shawn Green has the right to observe Yom Kippur in a fashion that he sees fit. Part of being an American is being very grateful that he has the individual freedom to do just that.

I can't understand the objection to Shawn Green's skipping a game or two to observe an important Jewish holiday.

Back when he was a good hitter, I might have had a problem with it.
