CLUBS
Coldplay a
hot ticket
So Coldplay fans got a rush of blood to the head when they scored $10 tickets to see their favorites up close at the Troubadour in WeHo on Friday. The Brit band took the stage for 90 minutes and debuted four new songs. Among those who got a slice of musical nirvana at the KROQ-sponsored event were Gwyneth Paltrow (who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin), Teri Hatcher, Jason Bateman, Chris Kattan, Don Johnson, Robbie Williams and Colin Farrell, who was visibly peeved when the box office refused to give him three tickets (he got two)
Birthday boys / girls
Big week for actor Danny Masterson, who celebrated his birthday twice. On Sunday, he threw himself a shindig at Guy’s nightclub, and Monday he partied down again at Tokio. Sounds like he’s taking a cue from Hugh Hefner, who marks his birthdays at a trail of clubs from here to Vegas
Beachy keen
The Redondo Beach nightclub Lattitude’s is getting a serious makeover. The beach club debuts its new look and sound, which includes a 32-channel sound board, in April, and its first big show is on April 15, when A.M.I. Productions invites Orange County hard-core band Ignite to fire up the stage
