A man, woman and young boy were killed Sunday night after their minivan apparently spun out of control and was struck by a big rig on Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway in Santa Clarita, the California Highway Patrol said.
A young girl in the vehicle suffered major injuries. She was taken to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. A county coroner's official said the two adult victims were in their 20s and the dead child was about 3 years old. Their names were not released.
