Big 5 Sporting Goods Corp. hired Barry D. Emerson, a former finance chief at Elite Information Group Inc., as chief financial officer effective next month.
Big 5, which said in July it would delay financial results because of a restatement, will file fiscal 2004 results "shortly," the El Segundo company said.
