Sex Offender Arrested in Child-Abuse Case
A registered sex offender was arrested last week on suspicion of attempting to meet with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old boy, authorities said.
Riverside County sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Mark Nebens, 45, of Oak Park in Ventura County on suspicion of attempted child molestation when Nebens tried to rendezvous with someone he had contacted through an Internet chat room, authorities said.
In fact, Nebens had held sexually explicit conversations with and e-mailed pornography to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department informant, officials said. He traveled to meet the subject at a Rubidoux strip mall and was arrested.
