France, in shades of gray

BOB WEST took the ideal photographer's vacation: just he and his camera in London and Paris. This was one of his "keepers" from that April 2004 sojourn, captured on black and white film with a Canon EOS A2 at Versailles. The sunlight on the huge trees gives the photo dramatic structure, said West, of Rancho Santa Margarita. He has taken several photo classes at Saddleback College and printed this picture in the darkroom there.
