Holiday closures
The following schedule will be in effect in observance of Christmas Day:
Offices: All city, county and federal offices and courts will be closed; most will remain closed until
Jan. 3.
Mail: Post offices will be closed today and Monday and Jan. 1 and 2. Only Express Mail will be delivered those days.
Libraries: Libraries will be closed.
Banks: Most will be closed.
Public transportation: Metrolink trains will not run. Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on a holiday schedule. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will offer free rides until midnight.
Trash collection: Service will be delayed a day this week. Cities served by Waste Management of Orange County and Newport Beach will follow regular schedules.
