Ah, awards time, the Golden Globe
Maybe our passionate national divide is illustrated just as vividly by Mel versus Moore as by Red versus Blue. And if sex sells cinematically, why not satirically? Alfred Kinsey would surely have had something to say about same-sex unions.
Borrowing from blockbusters may be an opinion-mongering staple, a trick of the tirades, but it’s probably not our strongest work. Come our season of self-congratulation, don’t expect cartoons from this genre to win. Ah, awards time
