Day of Movers, Shakers in NBA

Baron Davis goes to Warriors, Payton to Hawks and Walker back to Celtics before trade deadline. Lakers and Clippers stand pat.

February 25, 2005|Mike Bresnahan | Times Staff Writer

The Milwaukee Bucks took part in two trades that trimmed $13 million from their payroll for next season, extra money that will be used to try to keep guard Michael Redd from leaving via free agency. The Bucks traded struggling forward Keith Van Horn to the Dallas Mavericks for Alan Henderson, Calvin Booth and an undisclosed cash payment. They also sent point guard Mike James and little-used center Zendon Hamilton to Houston for guard Reece Gaines and two second-round picks.
