Police Thursday said they had arrested a Corona man on suspicion of a real estate scam in which he allegedly posed as a real estate agent. Police said he was responsible for more than $2 million in property losses.
Hubert Jene Turner, 36, allegedly used the identity of a Riverside resident to conduct the deals. Turner would agree to buy homes for up to $50,000 over the list price, then ask the seller to credit him the extra money for closing costs or improvements, said Det. Frank Zellers.
