Cerritos Lifts Earthquakes Over Crew

Ronald Cerritos scored in the 63rd minute, lifting the San Jose Earthquakes to a 2-1 win over the host Columbus Crew on Saturday night and extending their unbeaten streak to seven games.

Cerritos scored his fifth goal this season for San Jose (7-3-7), which has won four of five games.

Chad Marshall scored his first career goal in the 18th minute for Columbus (4-10-2) on a header.

Eddie Robinson tied the game in the 30th minute, heading in a free kick.

Chicago 1, New England 0 -- Rookie defender Gonzalo Segares scored in the 58th minute at Chicago as the Fire (11-6-2) moved into sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference by defeating the Revolution (9-2-5).

Kansas City 1, D.C. United 0 -- Sasha Victorine's unassisted goal in the 77th minute gave the Wizards (6-4-7) a victory over United (6-6-4) at Washington.
