Quinnipiac Is Ousted in Big Way by Miami, 35-8

Miami of Ohio set an NCAA regional record for runs and had a record-tying 33 hits in a 35-8 rout to eliminate Quinnipiac from the Austin (Texas) Regional.

Quinnipiac (26-24) lost its first regional game to Texas, 20-2. Brandon Hiller and Brian Canada each had five hits for Miami (45-17).
