Access to West Bank Settlements to Be Barred

Israeli military officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Israelis would be barred from moving to West Bank settlements slated for evacuation. The army on Friday banned Israelis from relocating to the Gaza Strip.

About 9,000 Jewish settlers are to be moved as Israel evacuates all of Gaza and four isolated West Bank settlements beginning in late July.

In further preparations, the army said it would begin removing nonessential equipment, such as food storage facilities, from Gaza in the next two weeks.
