You don't go for the new at Stones concert

November 08, 2005

YOU miss what the Stones, their fans and the Stones management understand quite clearly [" 'Brown Sugar' Overdose," by Robert Hilburn, Nov. 7].

You don't pay 2,000 bucks to take your family to Anaheim to hear the Stones play a night of "new" material.

This is the entertainment business. They tour to display the breadth of their work, not just a new album. The economics of what you suggest left the music a long, long time ago.
