In Sign of Hope for New Orleans, School Reopens

New Orleans reopened its first public school since Hurricane Katrina swept through the city.

Benjamin Franklin Elementary School, in the little-damaged Uptown area of New Orleans, is accepting 500 students.

"Reopening New Orleans public schools is vital to revitalizing New Orleans as a city," said school Principal Christine Mitchell.
