Army Says It Has Killed 8 Rebels in New Violence

Nepal's army said it killed at least eight suspected communist rebels in the first reported clashes since the guerrillas declared a unilateral cease-fire early this month.

Two suspected rebels were killed Sunday near Ausidada and six were slain Saturday near Bahadurpur, the army said.
