Five Suspects Detained in Killing of Boys

April 08, 2006|From Times Wire Reports

Venezuelan authorities said they had arrested five suspects linked to the kidnapping and slayings of three young brothers and were seeking two others in the crime, which has sparked angry protests.

Students and residents took to the streets of Caracas this week after police Tuesday found John Bryan, Kevin and Jason Faddoul, ages 17, 13 and 12, respectively, shot to death more than a month after they were kidnapped en route to school.

The brothers held dual Venezuelan and Canadian citizenship.
