UPS Shortens Two-Day Delivery Deadline

IN BRIEF / SHIPPING

February 09, 2006|From Reuters

United Parcel Service Inc. said it was improving its two-day service by shortening the delivery deadline and offering Saturday delivery.

Atlanta-based UPS said its "guaranteed commit" deadline for 2nd Day Air A.M. packages would be moved to 10:30 a.m. from noon.

UPS, whose main rival is FedEx Corp., is marketing the service as an economical alternative for shipments that do not require overnight delivery.
