Goldberg OKd to Head Planning Department

As expected, Gail Goldberg was approved Wednesday as general manager of the Los Angeles Planning Department by a 13-0 vote of the City Council.

Goldberg has been the chief of San Diego's Planning Department since 2001 and has worked there since 1987.

Los Angeles' Planning Department had been under an interim manager since September.
