CBS shells out for advertising

A look at some of the highlights as the TV industry unveils its upcoming shows to the entertainment press at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena:

In addition to trotting out its new anchor, CBS on Sunday also unveiled its fall marketing campaign: It will advertise on 35 million eggs.

Eggs. That you eat.

A company called EggFusion will use laser technology to apply slogans like: " 'CSI': Crack the Code on CBS," " 'The Class': New Grade-A CBS Comedy" and " 'How I Met Your Mother': Find Your Chick on CBS." Each egg will also be imprinted with its expiration date.
