Lawmaker Sues Google Over Child Porn Claims

Google Inc. was sued by a New York county legislator over claims that the company isn't doing enough to block its users from accessing child pornography on the Internet.

The lawsuit, filed by Nassau County Legislator Jeffrey Toback in New York state court, seeks to block Google from providing links or advertising to websites that display child pornography.

Mountain View, Calif.-based Google prohibits child pornography in the company's products, including its search engine, and removes such images when they are discovered, spokesman Steve Langdon said.
