Re "At Graduation, McCain Tips Cap to the Right," May 14
As I read your article, all I could think of was what strange bedfellows Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and the Rev. Jerry Falwell are. McCain must be grasping at straws to bring the grossly intolerant Falwell into his political realm. It seems ludicrous to envision McCain tolerating Falwell's lambasting of alternative lifestyles. There are many cases of respecting different viewpoints, but this scenario between these two personalities reeks of political pandering.
