Lindsey Pluimer scored a career-high 27 points and had eight rebounds to lead No. 21-ranked UCLA to an 87-64 victory over Cal State Sacramento at Honolulu on Saturday.
Noelle Quinn had 12 points and 11 assists, and Chinyere Ibekwe had 17 points and nine rebounds for the Bruins (3-3) in a consolation game at the Rainbow Wahine Classic. Amanda Livingston had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Sophomore Atty Boyer led the Hornets (1-5) with a career-best 23 points and eight rebounds.
Quinn, the Bruins' leading scorer this season before the tournament, had only one point Friday when she missed her 11 shots in a first-round loss to Gonzaga.
Using a half-court trap, UCLA took a 27-17 lead. Boyer made a shot at the buzzer to cut the gap at the half to 41-33.
UCLA moved on to the fifth-place game. Sacramento will play in the seventh-place game.
No. 12 Texas A&M 77, Loyola Marymount 52 -- Morenike Atunrase scored 22 points to lead the Aggies in the championship game of the LMU Ayres Hotel Thanksgiving Classic at Gersten Pavilion.
The Aggies (5-0) led, 36-15, at the 6-minute 34-second mark of the first half, and led by double digits the rest of the game. The Lions (3-2) cut the deficit to 12 points early in the second half, but the Aggies responded and led by at least 15 points the rest of the way.
Atunrase was selected the most valuable player of the tournament.
Amanda DeCoud led Loyola Marymount with 11 points and four assists.
No. 14 Vanderbilt 67, No. 16 California 55 -- Caroline Williams scored 18 points, and the Commodores (6-0) held the Golden Bears (4-1) scoreless for nearly 11 minutes in the championship game of the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving tournament at Nashville.
