Joseph Addai tied a franchise record with four touchdowns, and the host Indianapolis Colts defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 45-21, Sunday night.
Addai finished with 171 yards and tied an NFL rookie record for rushing scores with a late four-yard run. He also broke a franchise record for points scored by a rookie in a game -- the previous high was 18.
Addai joined Lenny Moore, Lydell Mitchell and Eric Dickerson as the only Colts with four touchdowns in a game.
Addai still didn't think it was good enough.
"A lot of running backs come in and do good the first year and after that they go into the tank," he said. "I've got to become more consistent."
Philadelphia (5-6) played its first game without Donovan McNabb, who is out for the season because of a torn knee ligament. But the Eagles couldn't blame this one on his absence.
Jeff Garcia, McNabb's replacement, was 19 for 23 for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Brian Westbrook carried 20 times for 124 yards and one touchdown, becoming the first Eagle since Wilbert Montgomery in 1981 to produce three 100-yard games in a row.
But the Colts (10-1) capitalized on several mistakes by the Eagles.
Peyton Manning wasted little time in putting the game away early in the second half. He threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Wayne to make it 31-7.
Manning finished 14 for 20 for 183 yards with one interception, and reached 3,000 completions in his 139th game, the fastest in NFL history.
Tennessee 24, New York Giants 21 -- Rob Bironas kicked a 49-yard field goal with six seconds to play at Nashville to cap a rally in which rookie quarterback Vince Young ran for a touchdown and passed for two in the last 9 minutes 35 seconds to overcome a 21-point deficit.
Young finished with a season-high 249 yards passing.
The Giants (6-5) lost their third game in a row and fell a game behind the Dallas Cowboys (7-4) in the NFC East.
New York led, 21-0, in the second quarter. But the Giants didn't score again, and cornerback Adam Jones got the Titans (4-7) into the game when he intercepted an Eli Manning pass with 12:55 left.
Jones had two interceptions.
