* ImClone Systems Inc. said its chairman and another board member had resigned after weeks of squabbles between the company and financier Carl Icahn, who had sought their ouster as part of a plan to shake up the biotech drug maker.

* Ross Stores Inc. agreed to buy 46 store sites from Albertsons. The sites are in California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Colorado and Oklahoma, Pleasanton, Calif.-based Ross said.

* Beckman Coulter Inc. of Fullerton hired Corona-based Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s chief financial officer, Charles P. Slacik, for a similar position.

* The Federal Communications Commission approved the transfer of ownership of 37 TV stations to News Corp. that had been held under the name of Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch.
