Tribute plays like a comedy
AT Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood tribute Oct. 15, Legend award recipient 1.Lauren Bacall, left,joked that she was surprised to be upright, as by her count, she’s got to be 192 years old. Bacall’s wisecracking garnered her two standing ovations and laughs from fellow honorees Kate Bosworth, Amy Adams, Julie Taymor and Diane Lane. Host 2.Wanda Sykes, right, with her “New Adventures of Old Christine” costar Julia Louis-Dreyfus, also knocked ‘em dead after telling cover girl Scarlett Johannson that “it was a toss-up between you and Britney!” for the Icon award. 3.Jennifer Beals, left, and Julie Delpy rounded out the mostly female crowd at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, where a Balenciaga-clad 4.Jennifer Connelly flashed her statuette and pearly whites.
