BAGHDAD — Three U.S. soldiers were killed and six wounded Saturday in attacks in Baghdad and southwest of the Iraqi capital, the military said.
A roadside bomb killed a soldier and wounded two while they were on a foot patrol southwest of Baghdad. Another died and three were wounded when their vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb and small-arms fire in southwest Baghdad. A combat security patrol in east Baghdad came under small-arms fire, killing a soldier and wounding one. At least 3,319 U.S. troops have died in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion, according to the website icasualties.org, which tracks military casualties.
