IN BRIEF
The results of an autopsy performed on a high school student who collapsed and died during football practice will not be known pending further tests that could take several weeks, officials said Saturday.
Kenny Wilson, 16, died en route to a hospital Friday after collapsing at Arnold O. Beckman High School, where he was an offensive lineman.
The death occurred on the first day of conditioning for the high school’s varsity football team as team members ran, did sit-ups and performed other exercises.
The 6-foot-1, 250-pound junior, described as large but agile and in good shape, also competed in varsity wrestling.
