Blogger threatens campus shooting
Los Angeles police officers and safety officials at Loyola Marymount University were on alert Saturday after an anonymous blogger threatened that there would be a campus shooting.
LAPD officers were dispatched to patrol the Westchester campus as a precaution, and LAPD and campus police were investigating the threat, said LAPD spokesman Mike Lopez.
"There's ways for us to find out where that actual e-mail came from or who input that information," Lopez said. "Hopefully, we'll get to the bottom of it."
Campus entrances were restricted Saturday, but events continued as planned.
