A coach at West High School has been arrested on suspicion of handcuffing several female students and taping their hands, feet and mouths on different occasions at his home and at school over the last year and a half, police said Tuesday.

Michael Anthony Smith, 51, was booked on suspicion of false imprisonment, annoying children and sexual battery for allegedly tying up four girls ages 13 to 17, police said. He was arrested Friday, a day after one of the girl's boyfriends reported him to the school staff.
