This weekend at the box office
The science-fiction thriller “I Am Legend” will top this weekend’s box-office results in the U.S. and Canada and become one of the holiday season’s highest-grossing movies. The family film “Alvin and the Chipmunks” could finish a distant No. 2. These figures are Times projections only. Studio estimates will be issued Sunday, and final results Monday.
