Blood pressure: In a Dec. 17 article about controlling hypertension, optimal blood pressure was described as 120/80 mmHg. In fact, people with a 120/80 blood pressure reading are considered to have prehypertension, a precursor to hypertension. People should strive for blood pressure below 120/80, according to guidelines from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
