In a bite fight, the dog is top dog

An Alsatian police dog named Edge cornered a robbery suspect in Napier, New Zealand, but the man wasn't going without a fight: He bit the dog.

Predictably, the dog responded in kind.

"He bit the dog first," Det. Sgt. John McGregor said. "The dog did win the fight."

The man and a fellow suspect were charged with aggravated robbery of a grocery store.
