February 26, 2007|From Times Wire Reports

Pirates hijacked a cargo ship delivering food aid to northeastern Somalia, at least the third time since 2005 that a vessel contracted to the United Nations has been hijacked off the nation's coast.

The ship had dropped off more than 1,800 tons of food in the semiautonomous region of Puntland when the pirates struck, a spokeswoman for the U.N. World Food Program said.
