BIG WEST CONFERENCE

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (6-6, 1-1) at UC Irvine (6-8, 0-0), 7 -- The Anteaters open conference play having won consecutive games for the first time this season, defeating Harvard and UC Davis. They are giving up only 65.7 points a game and have held opponents to 39.8% shooting. Irvine is 4-0 at home this season. San Luis Obispo defeated Irvine, 61-58, in their last meeting, on Feb. 11.

Cal State Northridge (6-6, 0-1) at Cal State Fullerton (10-3, 1-1), 7 -- Fullerton is fourth in the nation in scoring at 87.3 points a game and Northridge is 26th at 80.8. Titans guard Bobby Brown is 14th in the nation, averaging 21.1 points a game. Fullerton has won 10 consecutive home games but is coming off a loss in a key conference game at UC Santa Barbara. Northridge is 0-5 on the road this season and has lost three of its last four overall.

Pacific (4-9, 1-0) at UC Riverside (3-11, 0-2), 7 -- The Highlanders lost, 95-55, Tuesday against Texas El Paso, their ninth consecutive loss and most lopsided this season. Justin Bell, the team's leading scorer at 12.7 points a game, did not play because of a strained foot and could sit out tonight as well. Pacific, the three-time defending Big West champion, defeated Northridge to open conference play and end a four-game losing streak.

UC Santa Barbara (10-3, 2-0) at Long Beach State (9-4, 0-0), 7 -- The Gauchos won a key early-season game against Fullerton on Saturday and have won six of their last seven games. Guard Alex Harris averaged 24 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games last week and was selected conference player of the week. He's 11th in the nation with a 21.4 scoring average. The 49ers open conference play on a seven-game winning streak, tied for longest under fifth-year Coach Larry Reynolds.
