IN BRIEF Orange County / BUENA PARK - Man killed when car he was working on falls
A 41-year-old Santa Ana man was killed Tuesday when the car he was working under fell on top of him.
His name was not released pending notification of relatives.
The incident occurred about 3:15 p.m. in the carport of an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Whitaker Drive, said Sgt. William Kohanek of the Buena Park Police Department.
“We don’t know exactly what he was doing,” Kohanek said. The man was working on a 1992 Toyota Camry owned by a friend. “Both front wheels were off and it appeared that a small jack had fallen over. He was directly underneath the engine.”
The man was declared dead at the scene.
