A roadside bomb targeting a car in Thailand's far south killed a district chief, a senior army officer and their driver today, police said.
Suspected Muslim insurgents triggered the explosion as the chief of Pattani province's Maikhaen district were traveling with the two others to investigate an earlier blast, police Lt. Pitan Lookrak said.
