A La Mirada man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the hit-and-run death of a fourth-year philosophy student, authorities said.
Erik Aguirre, 19, was taken into custody at his home, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Robert Esson, said.
Liberty Jaswal, 28, of Pomona was struck in a La Mirada parking lot Saturday and dragged more than 70 feet by a white Astro van. He died hours later at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
